What Are You Doing In 2020?

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year and welcome to 2020! Can you believe it’s been 20 years since Y2K! Since I started my blog two and a half years ago my New Year’s post has revolved around New Year’s resolutions and goals. This year is no different, except I have learned more over the last year on how to improve my goals to make sure I am accomplishing them. I can tell you it feels really good to sit here and say that I feel good about my 2019 accomplishments. I may not have reached my goal perfectly, but I’m personally satisfied. I truly believe that personal development is a lifelong learning challenge. With every new challenge doors open and new adventures await. My main goal for 2019 was to read a book a month and that was huge for me. I was lucky if I read two books a year before that. I did not make it to 12 books, but I did read 10 and listened to many podcasts. If you have limited time to read, I highly recommend podcasts, Spotify is a great app to use. Podcasts are inspiring and informative; there are so many people and styles to choose from. If you have not checked any out, I would strongly encourage it.

My personal overall lifelong goal is to live to my fullest potential. Each year I try to add a new goal to my habits and routine allowing me to be the best version of myself. In 2020 I want to give back to my community more. Its something I did a lot growing up and I feel is important. We all have busy schedules but it’s important to make the time to help others. In addition to helping others, giving back also makes you feel good. I also want to teach my kids the importance of helping others.

At Parker River Dental we have been giving back to our community for the last eight years by providing free preventative services to many Newbury citizens ages 65 and older. In 2020 we will continue to do that, but we also want to give back in other ways. We plan to sponsor a meal at Our Neighbors Table and volunteer for a local Habitat for Humanity. Our team here at Parker River Dental is one of a kind and I’m lucky to be part of that. Stay tuned during 2020 for updates on our volunteering adventures!
